Title
Substitute resolution authorizing city-wide sidewalk replacement at Scattered Sites, various areas and school sites and appropriating funds for these purposes with the city construction cost estimated to be $1,246,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $1,396,000.
Analysis
To provide the necessary authority for sidewalk repairs at Scattered Sites, various areas and school sites. The City cost of these projects approved by this resolution is estimated to be $1,246,000. The total estimated cost of these projects is $1,396,000.
Whereas, It is necessary and in the public interest to replace those sidewalk stones which are cracked, broken, out of grade or otherwise a hazard to pedestrians; and
Whereas, It is proposed that sidewalk replacement work be done in the following locations at the indicated cost:
2017 Scattered Sites (ST230170154) File Number 151134 (ST230170001): Laying concrete walk. Doing all necessary grading pertaining to said work. (Assessable Sidewalk Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $41,000; Nonassessable Sidewalk Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $375,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $466,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2017 construction season.
Area bounded by W Locust St., N. 32nd St., W. Fond du Lac Ave., and N. 35th St.; Area bounded by W. Mitchell St., S. 13th St., W. Becher St., and S. 16th St.; Area bounded by W.
