Title

Substitute resolution establishing a Mobile Home Study Task Force.

Analysis

This resolution establishes a Mobile Home Study Task Force to review the operations and regulations related to the mobile home parks within the city.  The task force shall consist of a member of the Common Council, a representative of the Department of Neighborhood Services, a representative of the Wisconsin Housing Alliance and a representative of a mobile home park licensed by the city.

Body

Whereas, Regulations regarding mobile home parks have remained unchanged for many years; and

 

Whereas, There has been recent problems associated with mobile home parks; and

 

Whereas, There is a need to review operations and regulations related to mobile home parks; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that a Mobile Home Study Task Force is established to review operations and regulations related to mobile home parks, and shall consist of the following members:

1.  A Common Council member to be named by the President of the Common Council who will serve as chair of the Task Force.

2.  A representative of the Department of Neighborhood Services to be named by the department.

3.  A representative of the Wisconsin Housing Alliance to be named by the association.

4.  A representative of a mobile home park licensed by the city to be named by the President of the Common Council.

Further Resolved, The Mobile Home Task Force shall be staffed by the City Clerk’s office; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, All City departments are directed to assist the Mobile Home Study Task Force in carrying out its mission; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, The Mobile Home Task Force shall report its findings to the Common Council within 6 months of the adoption of this resolution and shall thereafter be dissolved.
