Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2009 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.

Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes positions in the following departments:
Fire department and Police Department
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 080522 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2008 - December 28, 2008):

Under “Police Department, Administration Services Decision Unit, Office of the Chief of Police”, add one position of “Police Finance and Planning Manager.”

Under “Police Department, Operation Decision Unit, Intelligence Division, Gang Crimes Unit, Warrant Unit”, add one position of “Detective (G).”

Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 080522 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under “Fire Department, Firefighting Division Decision Unit”, add two positions of “Fire Lieutenant”; under “Paramedic Service”, delete two positions of “Paramedic Field Lieutenant (I)/Fire Lieutenant (I).”

Under “Police Department, Administration Services Decision Unit, Safety Division”, add ten positions of “School Crossing Guard (V)” and add Footnote “(V)” to read as follows: “Positions to expire 12/31/10 unless the I-94 N-S Corridor Reconstruction grant agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is extended.”

Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Part 4. The provisions of Part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2009 (December 28, 2008).
