Minutes note: Ms. Hatal noted it is the Schiek house, not Schlek house.
Mr. Askin said the owner has requested a plaque for the house built in 1895.
Staff does not feel this house meets the criteria for a plaque as set forth in the bylaws. Staff feels that the maintenance is adequate and the house has had significant alterations
Joseph Bagins, Sr. - now lives in the home at 1325 N. 23rd St. - his family has been in the house for three generations and is holding up the neighborhood.
The asphalt sheet siding has been replaced with vinyl siding.
Ald. Bauman moved to approve the plaque. Ms. Pieper Eisenbrown seconded. There were no objections.
