Analysis
This resolution would approve a lease agreement with the United States Army Corps of Engineers for certain real property for Government purposes and stone
storage located at 2320 S. Lincoln Memorial Drive.
BODY
Whereas, The United States Army has been a long term tenant in good standing with the Port of Milwaukee; and
Whereas, Both parties have agreed to the lease for a term of one-year commencing January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017 with the right to renew from year to year or for a lesser period of time under the same terms and conditions; and
Whereas, The Board of Harbor Commissioners at their meeting of December 8, 2016 acted by vote of the Board to grant such lease; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said Common Council hereby ratifies and approves the lease agreement between the United States Army Corps of Engineers and the City of Milwaukee, by and through its Board of Harbor Commissioners for the period of January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the designated officers of said government and of said Board of Harbor Commissioners are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement to carry out this purpose.
