This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to CG Schmidt allowing occupancy of the 130 northerly feet of the north/south alley in the block bound by East Buffalo Street, North Broadway, East Chicago Street, and North Water Street.
Body
Whereas, CG Schmidt has been contracted by the property owner of 241 N Broadway to construct a ramp to the building’s parking structure; and
Whereas, The work will be completed between the dates of November 11, 2016 to December 16, 2016; and
Whereas, CG Schmidt has requested to occupy the 130 northerly feet of the north/south alley in the block bound by East Buffalo Street, North Broadway, East Chicago Street, and North Water Street between November 11, 2016 and December 16, 2016 to conduct the work; and
Whereas, CG Schmidt will be responsible to contact all affected property owners and businesses informing them of the closure of the alley and the affected dates; and
Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the width of the right of way while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue a permit to CG Schmidt allowing occupancy of the 130 northerly feet of the north/south alley in the block bound by East Buffalo Street, North Broadway, East Chicago Street, and North Water Street between November 11, 2016 and December 16, 2016.
