Analysis

This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to Canadian Pacific allowing occupancy of the entire West Oregon Street between South 1^st Street to a point 60 feet west.

Body

Whereas, Canadian Pacific will be completing construction on the rail bridge structure located at West Oregon Street west of South 1^st Street; and

Whereas, The construction will be completed between the dates of October 17, 2016 and December 2, 2016; and

Whereas, Canadian Pacific has requested to occupy the entire West Oregon Street between South 1^st Street to a point 60 feet west between October 17, 2016 and December 2, 2016; and

Whereas, Canadian Pacific will be responsible to contact all affected property owners and businesses informing them of the closures of the street and the affected dates; and

Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the width of the right of way while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue a permit to Canadian Pacific has requested to occupy the entire West Oregon Street between South 1^st Street to a point 60 feet west between October 17, 2016 and December 2, 2016.
