Resolution authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with the Forest County Potawatomi Community for installation of traffic signing and geometric improvements on West Potawatomi Circle in the 8^th Aldermanic District at a total estimated cost of $124,300.

Body

Whereas, Continued development in and around the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino complex has resulted in increased pedestrian and vehicle activity on West Potawatomi Circle; and

Whereas, The Department of Public Works has agreed to design and construct geometric and signing improvements to improve traffic safety and operations on West Potawatomi Circle at an estimated cost of $124,300; and

Whereas, Forest County Potawatomi Community has agreed to fund the proposed improvements and will be billed upon completion of the project; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized execute the Memorandum of Understanding with the Forest County Potawatomi Community for the installation of improvements on West Potawatomi Circle, a copy of which is attached to this Common Council Resolution File, and is incorporated in this resolution by reference as though set forth in full; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant account from Developer Paving Fund --- $124,300 (ST214160104); and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City of Milwaukee is hereby authorized to bill the Forest County Potawatomi Community for costs incurred for the improvements.
