Title

Resolution changing the frequency of the Department of City Development’s periodic report on the status of all current lease agreements entered into as landlord by the City of Milwaukee and its affiliated departments and agencies.

Analysis

This resolution reduces the frequency of the lease agreement status report from semiannual to annual.

Body

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee (“City”) sometimes enters into agreements with private entities to lease City-owned premises; and

 

Whereas, In February 2013, the Common Council adopted File No. 121508, directing the Department of City Development (“DCD”) to coordinate and report semiannually the status of all current lease agreements entered into as landlord by the City and its affiliated departments and agencies; and

 

Whereas, The Common Council finds that an annual report on the status of lease agreements is sufficient to convey information required by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that DCD is directed to coordinate and report annually the status of all current lease agreements entered into as landlord by the City and its affiliated departments and agencies; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That DCD shall submit the report by December 31st of each year.
