Resolution relative to the acceptance and funding of the year 2016 State of Wisconsin Emergency Solution Grant.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Department of Administration’s Community Development Grants Administration to accept, and fund the Emergency Solutions Grant from the State of Wisconsin.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the State of Wisconsin, Department of Administration - Division of Housing for the 2016 Emergency Solutions Grant; and

Whereas, The operations of this grant project from 7/1/16 through 6/30/17 would cost $625,000 which will be provided as the grantor share with $251,851 from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration - Division of Housing and $373,149 is directly from the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration - Division of Housing; now therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Community Development Grants Administration (CDGA) is hereby authorized to accept and allocate funding awards as shown in Attachment A; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City of Milwaukee assures and certifies that it will comply with the regulations, policies guidelines and requirements with respect to the acceptance and use of the 2016 State of Wisconsin Emergency Solutions Grant Program; and, be it

Further Resolved, That acceptance of this grant is authorized and the Community Development Grants Administration shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant changes as indicated in Section 304-81 of the Milwaukee
Code of Ordinances.

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
