WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (Authority) solicited proposals by Official Notice No. 57769 on July 22, 2016 through August 23, 2016 for Hazardous Materials Abatement, Building Demolition, and Site Clearance (Phase 1) at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2.

WHEREAS, four proposals were received by the deadline of 2:00 p.m. (CDST) on Tuesday, August 23, 2016; and

WHEREAS, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, during which bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state and federal regulations; and

WHEREAS, Dakota Intertek Corp., a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the low bid in the amount of $772,500.00, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee that they hereby authorize and approve accepting the proposal of and entering into a contract with Dakota Intertek Corp. for Hazardous Materials Abatement, Building Demolition, and Site Clearance (Phase 1) at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, funds for these services will come from the Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Authority be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of the Authority; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any extensions of the time of performance are needed, the Chairman and Secretary-Executive Director may approve such request without any further action of the Authority; and, be it
