Whereas, The plaintiff, Davin Green, filed a civil rights lawsuit against Milwaukee Police Officer Jonathon Newport and the City of Milwaukee in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin captioned Davin Green v. Jonathon Newport and the City of Milwaukee, Case Number: 15-CV-0786, and
Whereas, The District Court has ordered Milwaukee Police Officer Jonathon Newport to pay an award of interim attorney’s fees to Peterson, Johnson & Murray S.C. in the amount of $23,676.92, and
Whereas, The City Attorney recommends that the City of Milwaukee make payment on the interim fee award; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that in compliance with the City Attorney’s direction, the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a City check as follows, as soon as practicable, to be charged to the Damages and Claims Fund, Account Number 0001-1490-S118-006300; the sum of $23,676.92, made payable to Peterson, Johnson & Murray S.C.
