Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2016 offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes positions in the following departments:

Fire Department, Health Department, Library, Municipal Court, Police Department

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Health Department”, amend footnotes “(LL)” and “(NN)” and add footnote “(QQ)” to read as follows:

 

“(LL) To expire 04/30/17 unless the Lifecourse Initiative for Healthy Families (LIHF) is extended.”

 

“(NN)                     To expire 06/30/17 unless the Community Safety Data Repository Grant from the Wisconsin Partnership Program - University of Wisconsin-School of Medicine and Public Health is extended. Partially funds one position of Violence Prevention Research Coordinator.”

 

“(QQ)                     To expire 08/31/19 unless the Lead Hazard Reduction Demonstration Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is extended. Also partially funds positions of Home Environmental Health Manager, Lead Project Coordinator, and Chemist II.”

 

Under “Disease Control and Environmental Health Services Division”, add one position of “Environmental and Disease Control Specialist (X)”.

 

Under “Home Environmental Health”, add footnote designation “(QQ)” to the position of “Home Environmental Health Manager (X)(Y)(RR)(TT)”.

 

Under “CDBG Lead Grant (TT)”, add footnote designation “(QQ)” to the position of “Lead Project Coordinator (CDBG)(TT)(X)(Y)”

 

Under “Lead Hazard Reduction Demonstration Grants (HUD)(RR)”, add footnote designation “(QQ)” to two positions of “Lead Risk Assessor II (X)(RR)” and one position of “Chemist II (RR)”.

 

Part 2.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2016 - December 20, 2015):

 

Under “Police Department, Risk Management Bureau, Crossing Guard Division”, delete one position of “Safety Coordinator” and add one position of “MPD Safety Division Manager”.

 

Part 3.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 16, 2016 - July 17, 2016):

 

Under “Library, Administrative Services Decision Unit, Administration Bureau, Communications and Marketing Section”, delete one position of “Marketing and Public Relations Officer (X)(Y)” and add one position of “Community Relations and Engagement Director (X)(Y)”.

 

Under “Municipal Court, Management and Administration”, delete one position of “Administrative Services Supervisor” and add one position of “Court Administrative Coordinator”.

 

Part 4.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 17, 2016 - July 31, 2016):

 

Under “Fire Department, Support Services Bureau Decision Unit, Technical Services/Dispatch Division”, delete one position of “Fire Technical Services Manager” and add one position of “Fire Information Technology Manager”.

 

Under “Police Department, Office of Management & Planning”, add one position of “Police Planning and Policy Director”.

 

Part 5.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 6.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2016 (December 20, 2015).

 

Part 7.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 16, 2016 (July 17, 2016).

 

Part 8.  The provisions of Part 4 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 17, 2016 (July 31, 2016).

 

The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

 

Part 9.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
