Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2016 offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes positions in the following departments:

Fire Department, Health Department, Police Department, Department of Public Works

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Health Department”, amend footnotes “(A), (O), (P), (S), (T), (JJ), and (EEE)” to read as follows:

 

“(A)                      To expire 06/30/17 unless the CDC Public Health Preparedness Grant is extended.”

 

“(O)                     To expire 06/30/17 unless the Congenital Disorders Grant is extended. Also partially funds one position of Public Health Nurse.”

 

“(P)                     To expire 06-30-17 unless the Bioterrorism Focus CRI Grant is extended.” 

 

“(S)                     To expire 06/30/17 unless the FDA Standards Grant is extended.”

 

“(T)                      To expire 07/31/17 unless the SURVNET ACA Grant available from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, is extended.”

 

“(JJ)                      To expire 6/30/17 unless the Wisconsin Well Woman Program Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin - Department of Health Services, is extended.”

 

“(EEE)                       To expire 06/30/17 unless the Healthy Birth Outcomes Grant from United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County is extended.”

 

Under “Department of Public Works-Operations Division, Fleet Services Section”, delete one position of “Radio Service Technician”.

 

Part 2.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 12, 2016 - May 22, 2016):

 

Under “Police Department, Administration Services Decision Unit, Intelligence Fusion Center”, delete one position of “Crime and Intelligence Specialist” and add two positions of “Crime and Intelligence Manager”.

 

Part 3. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 15, 2016 - July 3, 2016):

 

Under “Fire Department, Operations Bureau Decision Unit, Firefighting Division and Special Operations Division, Special Operations”, delete one position of “Battalion Chief, Fire” and add one position of “Deputy Chief, Fire”.

 

Under “Construction and Maintenance Division”, delete one position of “Battalion Chief, Fire” and add one position of “Deputy Chief, Fire”.

 

Under “EMS/Training/Education Bureau Decision Unit, EMS (Emergency Medical Services) Division”, delete one position of “Battalion Chief, Fire-EMS” and add one position of “Deputy Chief, Fire”.

 

Under “Training Division”, delete one position of “Battalion Chief, Fire” and add one position of “Deputy Chief, Fire”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Administrative Services Division, Safety Section”, delete two positions of “Driver Training Instructor” and add two positions of “Fleet Training Supervisor”.

 

Part 4.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 5.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 12, 2016 (May 22, 2016).

 

Part 6.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 15, 2016 (July 3, 2016).

 

The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

 

Part 7.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
