Title
Resolution to authorize a partial refund of the 2015 Real Estate property taxes levied against Wheaton Franciscan Health Care, plus interest applicable to date of claim, if appropriate.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes partial refund of taxes due to a decrease in assessment as made between City of Milwaukee and attorney of Tax Key No. 307-0805-200-7 for 2015 and the issuance of check to the City Treasurer or taxpayer as applicable.

Whereas, Wheaton Franciscan Health Care, tax key number 307-0805-200-7, has filed a claim under Wis. State Statute 74.35(5)b against the City of Milwaukee for allegedly unlawful taxes; and
Whereas, The City Assessor’s Office has received the appropriate information to determine the eligibility for exemption for 2015 for the property; and
Whereas, The parties have entered into an agreement to settle the above referenced claim for the amount of $3,111.84, plus interest; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, That the proper city officers are authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $3.111.84, plus applicable interest, said amounts to be charged to the 2016 Remission of Taxes Fund, 0001 Org 9990 Program 0001 Sub-class S163 Account 006300; and, be it
Further Resolved, That delinquent interest and penalties on any account covered by this resolution are hereby canceled.
