Analysis

This resolution authorizes City officials to issue a street occupancy permit to Reichl Construction, allowing them to occupy portions of North 49^th Street, North 50^th Street, and the east/west alley, all immediately adjacent to the Third District Police Station at 2333 N. 49^th Street.

Body

Whereas, Reichl Construction has requested permission to occupy portions of North 49^th Street, North 50^th Street and the east/west alley, all immediately adjacent to the Third District Police Station at 2333 N. 49^th Street; and

Whereas, Reichl Construction has indicated that they need this area to undertake work on the Third District Police Station between mid-June and mid-July 2016; and

Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the width of the roadway while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue a permit to Reichl Construction, Inc., and the BCSEC, allowing occupancy of the entire roadways of North 49^th Street, North 50^th Street, and the east/west alley, all immediately adjacent to the Third District Police Station at 2333 N. 49^th Street from mid-June to mid-July 2016.
