Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes positions in the following departments:

City Clerk, Health Department, Library, Department of Neighborhood Services, Police Department, Department of Public Works

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Health Department”, add footnote “(QQQ)” to read as follows:

 

“(QQQ)  To expire 06/30/17 unless the Adult Immunization Grant from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health is extended. Partially funds one Public Health Nurse Coordinator, and one Program Assistant in the Immunizations Program.”

 

Part 2.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2016 - December 20, 2015):

 

Under “Common Council - City Clerk, Central Administration Division, delete one position of “Community Economic Development Director” and add one position of “Workforce Development Coordinator”.

 

Under “Department of Neighborhood Services, Support Services Division, Administrative Services Section”, delete one position of “Administrative Specialist Senior” and add one position of “Compliance Programs Coordinator”.

 

Part 3.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 9, 2016 - April 10, 2016):

 

Under “Common Council - City Clerk, Central Administration Division, Auxiliary Positions”, delete four positions of “Document Services Assistant (0.25 FTE)”.

 

Part 4.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 10, 2016 - April 24, 2016):

 

“Under “Library, Administration Services Decision Unit, Administration Bureau, Facilities and Fleet Section, Facilities Unit”, delete one position of “Electrical Mechanic” and add one position of “Municipal Services Electrician”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Infrastructure Services Division, Transportation Operations Decision Unit, Signal Shop”, delete 13 positions of “Electrical Mechanic” and add 13 positions of “Municipal Services Electrician”.

 

Under “Street Lighting”, delete 47 positions of “Electrical Mechanic” and add 47 positions of “Municipal Services Electrician”.

 

Under “Auxiliary Positions”, delete five positions of “Electrical Mechanic” and add five positions of “Municipal Services Electrician”.

 

Under “Underground Communications”, delete 17 positions of “Electrical Mechanic” and add 17 positions of “Municipal Services Electrician”.

 

Under “Bridges & Buildings Decision Unit, Bridge Operations/Maintenance”, delete two positions of “Electrical Mechanic” and add two positions of “Municipal Services Electrician”.

 

Under “DPW-Infrastructure Services Division - Sewer Maintenance Fund, Underground Decision Unit, Sewer Underground Operations”, delete one position of “Electrical Mechanic” and add one position of “Municipal Services Electrician”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Water Works, Plants - North Organization, Electrical and Instrumentation”, delete six positions of “Electrical Mechanic”, delete two positions of “Water Plant Instrumentation Specialist”, and add eight positions of “Municipal Services Electrician”.

 

Part 5.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 12, 2016 - May 22, 2016):

 

Under “Police Department, Administration Services Decision Unit, Intelligence Fusion Center”, add one position of “Crime & Intelligence Specialist”.

 

Part 6.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 14, 2016 - June 19, 2016):

 

Under “Department of Neighborhood Services, Administrative Services Section”, delete one position of “Building Codes Enforcement Supervisor” and add one position of “Housing Policy and Compliance Manager”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Water Works, Business Organization, Commercial Services”, delete one position of “Water Revenue Manager”, delete one position of “Customer Service Supervisor”, delete one position of “Water Billing Supervisor”, delete one position of “Water Revenue Collections Manager”, delete one position of “Program Assistant II”, add one position of “Water Billing and Collections Manager”, add one position of “Water Customer Service Manager”, add one position of “Water Collections Supervisor”, and add one position of “Water Billing Specialist”.

 

Under “Meter Services”, add one position of “Water Customer Service Supervisor”.

 

Part 7.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 8.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2016 (December 20, 2015).

 

Part 9.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 9, 2016 (April 10, 2016).

 

Part 10.  The provisions of Part 4 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 10, 2016 (April 24, 2016).

 

Part 11.  The provisions of Part 5 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 12, 2016 (May 22, 2016).

 

Part 12.  The provisions of Part 6 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 14, 2016 (June 19, 2016).

 

The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

 

Part 13.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
