Analysis
This ordinance restricts on-street parking in commuter parking impacted areas for a holder of a resident-only parking permit to the block where the holder lives, and the immediately adjacent resident-only parking zone blocks.

The ordinance also requires that a physical resident-only parking permit include the hundred block, directional and street name of the permit holder’s residence. The department of public works is authorized to replace physical resident-only parking permits with paperless permits.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 101-27.7-8-b-2 of the code is amended to read:
101-27.5. Residential Daytime Parking Privilege for Nonconforming Residential Uses.

8. APPLICATION AND PERMIT.

b-2. The permit shall display >> the hundred block, directional and street name of the applicant’s residence<< the date of issuance, expiration date, and permit number, along with the license number, make and year of each car and the commuter parking impacted area in which the permit holder resides.

Part 2. Section 101-27.7-8-b-4 of the code is created to read:

b-4. A permit holder may be issued, at the sole discretion of the commissioner of public works, a physical permit to be displayed on the vehicle named in the permit application, or a paperless permit solely held by and on file with the department of public works.

Part 3. Section 101-27.7-11-c-1 of the code is amended to read:
11. RESIDENT-ONLY PARKING PERMIT.
