Analysis
This ordinance creates a general penalty provision applicable to all of ch. 85, license and permit procedures, and repeals individual penalty provisions throughout the chapter.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 85-29-4 of the code is repealed:
Part 2. Section 85-32-3 of the code is repealed:
Part 3. Section 85-34-4 of the code is repealed:
Part 4 Section 85-34-5 of the code is renumbered 85-34-4.
Part 5. Section 85-36 of the code is created to read:
85-36. Penalty, General. Any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter shall, where no other provisions are expressly made for the enforcement of any forfeitures or penalties under this chapter, upon conviction be subject to a forfeiture of not more than $500 and in default of payment thereof, shall be imprisoned as provided by law.
