Analysis
This ordinance requires that each licensee of a food establishment post a decal or placard issued by the health department in a conspicuous place on the premises of the licensed establishment readily and easily visible to the public, patrons and diners that states the establishment’s name, number, last date of inspection, address, and the name of the licensee.
The ordinance also provides that a certificate of food preparation practices issued by the Wisconsin department of health services under s. 254.71, Wis. Stats., may be renewed by the certificate holder if the person satisfactorily passes a Conference for Food Protection - accredited examination.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 68-4-4 of the code is amended to read:
68-4. Food Dealer License.
4. POSTING. Each licensee shall post his or her license in a conspicuous place in the food establishment premises. >>The licensee shall also post a decal or placard issued by the health department in a conspicuous place on the premises of the licensed establishment readily and easily visible to the public, patrons and diners that states the establishment’s name, number, last date of inspection, address, and the name of the licensee.<<
Part 2. Section 75-25-2.5 of the code is created to read:
75-25. State Food Protection Practices Certificate Required for Food Service Operations.
