There is also concern about the opening hours because school is still in session at 12 PM. It has been a relief that the tavern has been closed for months. Steven Hasbrook, president of Notre Dame Schools, stated it is difficult to have a bar so close to the school. Alicia Alvarez 1243 S 15th stated she patronizes the bar frequently and there are no problems prior to 10 PM. Ray Marquez 1436 W Madison St stated he agrees with the previous speaker and would like to see the bar reopen. She has never witnessed any problems. Ronald Nudorf 1343 S 15th St stated he has been a patron for 27 years and has spoken with the applicant about his concerns regarding littering and loitering in front of the bar and is in support.
