Title
Resolution relative to acceptance and funding of a Homeland Security/Urban Area Security Initiative Southeastern Threat Analysis Center Medical Intelligence Threat Analyst Grant.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Fire and Police Commission - Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security to accept and fund a Homeland Security / UASI STAC Medical Intelligence Threat Analyst Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs in the amount of $40,000.00 with a grantor share of $40,000.00 and a city share of $0. The purpose of this grant is to retain the services of a contractor who will provide real-time health, infectious disease and other relevant information to UASI region stakeholders while working within the Southeastern Threat Analysis Center (STAC).

Whereas, Under CFDA #97.067, the City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security through the State of Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant from 1/01/2016 to 12/31/2016 would cost $40,000.00 of which 100% would be provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Fire and Police Commission - Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Section 304-81, of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2016 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects the following amount for the project titled: Homeland Security/UASI STAC Medical Intelligence Threat Analyst Grant:
