Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation and expenditure of contributions received by the City; and
Whereas, The First Alert Company has offered to donate 250 plug-in carbon monoxide alarms to the Fire Department; and
Whereas, The 250 carbon monoxide alarms are valued at approximately $12,500; and
Whereas, The Milwaukee Fire Department is prepared to distribute the carbon monoxide alarms as part of its Firefighters Out Creating Urban Safety (FOCUS) program; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Milwaukee Fire Department is authorized to accept contributions of 250 plug-in carbon monoxide alarms from the First Alert Company.
