Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2016 offices and positions in the City Service.

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes positions in the following departments:

Common Council - City Clerk, Department of Employee Relations, Fire and Police Commission, Department of Public Works

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under “Department of Employee Relations, Administration Division, Business Section”, delete one position of “Budget and Management Analyst Senior” and add one position of “Business Operations Analyst”.   

Part 2.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2016 - December 20, 2015):

Under “Department of Public Works - Administrative Services Division, Contract Administration”, add one position of “Program Assistant I”.

Part 3.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 4, 2016 - January 31, 2016):

Under “Common Council - City Clerk, Central Administration Division’, delete one position of “Office Assistant IV” and add one position of “Administrative Assistant II.

Under “License Division”, delete one position of “License Coordinator (Y)” and add one position of “Business Systems Specialist (Y)”. 

Under “Fire and Police Commission”, delete one position of “Community Relations Manager (X)(Y)” and add one position of “Fire and Police Commission Operations Manager (X)(Y)”.

Under “Department of Public Works - Administrative Services Division, Contract Administration”, delete one position of “Program Assistant II” and “Office Assistant IV”.

Under “Safety Section”, add one position of “Program Assistant II”.  

Part 4.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Part 5.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2016 (December 20, 2015).

Part 6.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 4, 2016 (January 31, 2016).

The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

Part 7.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
