Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2016 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:
Department of Administration, Department of City Development, Department of Employee Relations, Health Department, Library, Department of Public Works

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150504 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2015 - December 21, 2014):
Under Pay Range 1DX, delete the title “Certification and Salary Systems Administrator”.
Under Pay Range 1EX, add the title “Certification and Salary Systems Administrator”.
Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150504 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 24, 2015 - November 8, 2015):
Under Pay Range 1AX, delete the title “Equipment Operations Supervisor I” and add the title “Fleet Operations Supervisor”.
Under Pay Range 1CX, delete the title “Equipment Operations and Training Manager”.
Under Pay Range 1EX, add the title “Fleet Operations and Training Manager”.
Under Pay Range 1FX, delete the title “Operations and Dispatch Manager”.
Under Pay Range 1HX, add the title “Fleet Operations Manager”.
Under Pay Range 1JX, delete the title “Fleet Operations Manager” and add the title “Fleet Services Manager”.
Part 3. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150504 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2016 - December 20, 2015):
Under Pay Range 1DX, add the title “Property Maintenance and Compliance Manager”.
Under Pay Range 1FX, delete the title “Urban Forestry Technical Services Manager”.
Under Pay Range 1GX, add footnote designation “(2)” to the title “Violence Reduction and Prevention Initiative Manager”.
Under Pay Range 1HX, add footnote designation “(1)” to the title “Assistant Director - Library Operations”.
Under Pay Range 1IX, add the title “Traffic Engineer - Senior”.
Under Pay Range 1JX, delete the title “Traffic Control Engineer V”.
Part 4. Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 150504 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 5, 2016 - February 14, 2016):
Under Pay Range 2HX, delete the title “DCD Accounting Specialist”.
Under Pay Range 2IX, add the title “DCD Accountant Lead”.
Part 5. Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 150504 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2016 - December 20, 2015):
Under Pay Range 2NX, add the title “Emergency Communications and Policy Director”.
Part 6. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 7. The provisions of Part 1 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2015 (December 21, 2014).
Part 8. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 24, 2015 (November 8, 2015).
Part 9. The provisions of Parts 3 and 5 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2016 (December 20, 2015).
Part 10. The provisions of Part 4 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 5, 2016 (February 14, 2016).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 11. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
