Title
Substitute resolution reserving and authorizing for expenditure up to $1,008,150.41 from the 2015 Common Council Contingent Fund to be used for property tax refunds to be paid by January 31, 2016.

Whereas, the city has obligations to refund property taxes based on changes made by the Board of Review and settlements from litigation; and
Whereas, the 2015 Special Purpose Account, Remission of Taxes (#0001-9990-S163-006300) (2015) which is set aside for this purpose has been fully expended; and
Whereas, the total amount for claims and settlements to be paid by January 31, 2016 exceeds the amount budgeted for this purpose in 2016; therefore, be it
Resolved, by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that up to $1,008,150.41 from the 2015 Common Council Contingent Fund (#0001-9990-C001-006300) (2015) is reserved and authorized for expenditure from the Special Purpose Account, Remission of Taxes (#0001-9990-S163-006300) (2015) to meet the obligations to be paid by January 31, 2016; and be it
Further resolved, that the Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish the necessary accounts and accounting procedures to carry out the intent of this resolution.
