Analysis
This ordinance revises the filing deadline and late filing fee for renewal applications for food dealer’s licenses to align the license renewal process with the process established for other licenses issued by the city clerk.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 68-21-4-e of the code is repealed.
Part 2. Section 81-55-6 of the code is amended to read:
81-55. Food Dealer’s License.
6. A renewal shall be filed by the deadline established by the city clerk >>as provided in s. 85-26<<. [[Failure to file a renewal application within 60 days of expiration shall result in the application being considered a new application.]] There shall be an additional fee for the filing of a late renewal application in the amount of $75. [[A late renewal application filed 10 days or less before permit expiration shall be assessed an additional fee of $125.]]
Part 3. This ordinance takes effect on or after August 3, 2015.
