Resolution directing the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate North 5th Street between West Highland Avenue and West Juneau Avenue and the east-west alley in the block bounded by North 4th Street, North 5th Street, West Highland Avenue extended and West Juneau Avenue, in the 4th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate said street and alley in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation was requested by the City of Milwaukee for the purpose of constructing an arena.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that North 5th Street between West Highland Avenue and West Juneau Avenue and the east-west alley in the block bounded by North 4th Street, North 5th Street, West Highland Avenue extended and West Juneau Avenue be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said street and alley in accordance with Section 308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
