Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2016 offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes positions in the following departments:

Comptroller, Health Department, Fire and Police Commission, Mayor’s Office, Police Department, Department of Public Works

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Health Department”, amend footnote “(J)” to read as follows:

 

“(J) To expire 12/31/16 unless the Maternal and Child Health Grant is extended.”;

 

Amend footnote “(DD)” to read as follows:

 

“(DD) To expire 12/31/16 unless the Immunization Action Plan Grant is extended.”;

 

And amend footnote “(GG)” to read as follows:

 

“(GG) To expire 12/31/18 unless the Breast Cancer Awareness - Milwaukee Foundation Grant from the Milwaukee Foundation is extended.”.

 

Under “Disease Control and Environmental Health Services Division, Immunization Action Plan Grant (DD)”, add designation “(FF)” to three positions of “Public Health Nurse (X)(G)(P)(AA)(DD)(EE)” and add footnote “(FF)” to read as follows:

 

“To expire 06/30/16 unless the Flu on Call Demonstration Grant from the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) is extended.”.

 

Under “Survnet Grant”, add designation “(P)” to one position of “Office Assistant III (T)”.

 

Under “Family and Community Health Services Division, Women’s, Infant’s and Children’s Nutrition Program Grant (C)”, add one position of “Nutritionist (X)(C)(Q)” and amend footnote “(C)” to read as follows:

 

“To expire 12/31/16 unless the Women’s, Infant’s and Children’s Grant, available from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, is extended.”.

 

Under “Office of Violence Prevention”, delete one position of “Injury and Prevention Program Coordinator (X)(Y)(V)” and add one position of “Injury and Violence Prevention Program Coordinator (X)(Y)(V)”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Infrastructure Services Division, Transportation Infrastructure Decision Unit, Street Maintenance”, delete two positions of “Street Area Manager”, delete six positions of “Street District Manager”, add two positions of “Repair District Manager”, add three positions of “Street Operations Supervisor”, and add three positions of “Repair Supervisor”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Operations Division, Fleet Services Section”, delete designation “(A)” from the position of “Office Assistant II” and delete footnote “(A)” in its entirety.

 

Part 2.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2016 - December 20, 2015):

 

Under “Comptroller, Payroll Administration Division”, delete one positions of “City Payroll Specialist”.

 

Under “Financial Systems Support Division”, add one position of “Functional Applications Analyst - Senior”.

 

Under “Fire and Police Commission”, delete one position of “Examinations Supervisor (Y)” and add one position of “Fire and Police Commission Staffing Services Manager (Y)”.

 

Under “Health Department, Office of Violence Prevention”, delete one position of “Injury and Prevention Program Coordinator (X)(Y)” and add one position of “Injury and Violence Prevention Program Coordinator (X)(Y)”.

 

Under “Mayor’s Office, Administration”, delete one position of “Management Services Specialist (Y)”, delete one position of “Program Assistant II”, add one position of “Community Outreach Liaison”, and add one position of “Program Assistant III”.

 

Under “Police Department, Technical Communications Division”, delete one position of “Technical Communications Manager” and add one position of “Emergency Communications Manager”.

 

Part 3.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 4.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2016 (December 20, 2015).

 

The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

 

Part 5.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
