Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2016 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:
Health Department, Fire and Police Commission, Police Department, Department of Public Works
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150504 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2016 - December 20, 2015):
Under Pay Range 1IX, add the titles “Emergency Communications Manager (2)” and “Fire and Police Commission Staffing Services Manager”.
Part 2. Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 150504 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2016 - December 20, 2015):
Under Pay Range 2GN, add footnote designation “(3)” to the title “IT Support Specialist - Senior”.
Under Pay Range 2HX, add the title “Violence Prevention Manager”.
Under Pay Range 2JX, add footnote designation “(2)” to the title “Database Analyst” with footnote “(2)” to read as follows:
“(2) Recruitment at any rate in the pay range with the approval of the DER Director and the Chair of the Committee on Finance and Personnel.”.
Part 3. Part 1, Section 5 of ordinance File Number 150504 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Pay Range 5EN, under the title “Community Service Officer”, delete designation “(5)” and add designation “(10)” with footnote “(10)” to read as follows:
“(10) To be paid the following rates: $1,519.91 to $1,786.12 ($39,517.66 to $46,439.12).”
Part 4. Part 1, Section 8 of ordinance File Number 150504 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Pay Range 8DN, add designation “(15)” to the position of “Tow Lot Attendant”.
Part 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 6. The provisions of Parts 1 and 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2016 (December 20, 2015).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 7. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
