Whereas, On March 3, 2015, the Common Council passed File Number 141658, a resolution relating to the creation, implementation, funding and authority of the MKE Plays initiative; and
Whereas, File Number 141658 authorized the Department of Public Works to accept up to $1,000,000 in contributions to support the MKE Plays Initiative; and
Whereas, The amount of contributions anticipated to be accepted by the Department of Public Works may exceed $1,000,000; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Common Council File Number 141658 is amended by replacing the sixth “Further Resolved” clause with the following:
“Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to accept up to $2,000,000 in contributions to support the MKE Plays initiative, as provided in the MKE Plays report, and to expend such funds for these purposes, in accordance with established City policies and procedures; and, be it”.
