Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate said street right-of-way in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation was requested by the Department of Public Works, since said street right-of-way is no longer needed for public purposes due to the relocation of North Granville Road.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that North Granville Road from West Good Hope Road north to relocated North Granville Road be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said street right-of-way in accordance with Section 308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
