Analysis
This ordinance provides that any person who fails to withdraw from an unpermitted special event, which the person knows has been ordered to disperse, shall, upon conviction, forfeit a maximum of $500 and the costs and disbursements of such action, and in default of payment thereof be confined as permitted by law, or until such forfeiture costs are paid.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 105-55.5-5 of the code is repealed and recreated to read:
105-55.5. Special Event Permits.
5. It is unlawful for any person to fail or refuse to withdraw from an unpermitted special event, which the person knows has been ordered to disperse.
Part 2. Section 105-55.5-6 of the code is created to read:
105-55.5. Special Event Permits.
6. PENALTY. Any person who shall violate any provision of this section, upon conviction, shall forfeit a maximum of $500 and the costs of prosecution and in default of payment thereof, be imprisoned as provided by law.
