Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2015 offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes positions in the following departments:

Department of Administration, City Attorney, Health Department, Police Department, Department of Public Works

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 140624 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “City Attorney, Legal Division”, delete one position of “Assistant City Attorney V (0.8 FTE)(Y)” and add one position of “Assistant City Attorney V (A)(Y)”.

 

Under “Health Department, Consumer Environmental Health”, delete one position of “Consumer Environmental Health Division Director (X)(Y)(S)”, add one position of “Consumer Environmental Health Division Director (X)(Y)(S)(SS)”, add one position of “Consumer Environmental Health Coordinator (X)(Y)(SS)”, and add footnote “(SS)” as follows:

 

“(SS) To expire 06/30/20 unless the Advancing Voluntary National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards Grant from the FDA is extended.”.

 

Under “Police Department”, amend footnote “(F)” to read as follows:

 

“(F) Truancy Abatement Grant: Six positions to expire 6/17/2016 unless grant funding from the Milwaukee Public Schools continues.”.

 

Part 2.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 140624 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 22, 2015 - October 11, 2015):

 

Under the “Department of Administration, Information and Technology Management Division, Applications and Development Section”, delete one position of “Applications Development Manager (Y)” and add one position of “Systems Integration Manager (Y)”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Infrastructure Services Division, Transportation Operations Decision Unit, Street Lighting”, add three positions of “Locator Technician” and add one position of “Locator Technician Crew Leader”.

 

Under the “Department of Public Works - Water Works, Business Organization, Accounting Services Section”, delete one position of “Water Business Manager (X)(Y)” and add one position of “Water Financial Manager (X)(Y)”.

 

Part 3.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 140624 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 23, 2015 - October 25, 2015):

 

Under “Police Department, Assigned As Needed Within Decision Unit”, add ten positions of “Community Service Officer”.

 

Part 4.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 5.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 22, 2015 (October 11, 2015).

 

Part 6.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 23, 2015 (October 25, 2015).

 

The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

 

Part 7.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
