Analysis
The code currently provides that the fee for replacing sidewalks shall be computed at $111 for regular walks per block face and $195 for full walks per block face. It also provides for an additional inspection fee in the amount of $107.

This ordinance creates a lower fee of $25 for replacing a sidewalk adjacent to a single parcel, as well as a lower inspection fee of $25 for the same type of sidewalk replacement.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 81-102.1-6 of the code is repealed and recreated to read:

81-102.1. Public Ways: Special Permits.

6. SIDEWALKS. a. The fee for replacing sidewalks shall be computed at $111 for regular walks per block face and $195 for full walks per block face. A block face shall consist of both sides of the street and not exceed 100 house numbers. If a block face of 100 house numbers is divided by one or more intersecting public ways, each subdivision shall constitute a block face.

b. The fee for replacing a sidewalk adjacent to a single parcel, up to 150 feet in frontage, shall be $25.

Part 2. Section 81-102.1-8-a of the code is amended to read:

8. INSPECTION COSTS.

a. An additional fee shall be charged for each permit under subs. 1 to 4, [[6]] >>6-a<< and 7 to cover costs of inspection in the amount of $107.

Part 3. Section 81-102.1-8-b of the code is renumbered 81-102.1-8-c.

Part 4. Section 81-102.1-8-b of the code is created to read:

b. An additional fee shall be charged for each permit under sub. 6-b to cover costs of inspection in the amount of $25.
