Analysis
This resolution authorizes the proper City officers to execute a Quit Claim Deed (QCD-2857) document conveying the storm sewer located in vacated South 44th Street from a point south of Selig Drive to a point approximately 713 feet south to The Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District, in the 8th and 10th Aldermanic Districts. The sewer is being conveyed because it is no longer needed for public use.

Body
Whereas, In 1963, the City of Milwaukee constructed an 15-inch, 18-inch and a 24-inch diameter storm sewer in South 44th Street from Selig Drive (Private) to a to a point approximately 713 feet south; and

Whereas, Said south 44th Street was vacated on June 23, 2015 per Resolution No.141870; and

Whereas, The vacated lands are now part of The Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District; and

Whereas, Due to the vacation of said portion of South 44th Street, the storm sewer no longer serves the public interest; and

Whereas, The Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District has agreed to accept ownership of said storm sewer; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers, including the DPW Commissioner, are hereby authorized: (i) to sign the Quit Claim Deed document (QCD-2857), in the form and substance submitted to this file (or in substantially the same form and substance as submitted, and to effectuate the intent of this resolution); and (ii) to cause the same to be recorded in the Milwaukee County Register of Deeds Office.
