Analysis
This resolution grants authority to the Financial Planning Association of Southern Wisconsin to use the City of Milwaukee’s logo for promoting Financial Planning Day, to be held in Milwaukee on October 24, 2015.
The resolution also expresses that the City of Milwaukee joins the Financial Planning Association of Southern Wisconsin in urging all residents to improve financial education and planning skills, and to work toward a more secure financial future for themselves, their families and the community.

Whereas, In today’s rapidly-changing economy, planning for the future is more important than ever; and
Whereas, The Certified Planning Board of Standards, the Financial Planning Association, the Foundation for Financial Planning and the U.S. Conference of Mayors have formed a consortium to promote the national effort “Financial Planning Days”; and
Whereas, The objectives of Financial Planning Days are to help people experience first-hand how financial planning can improve their lives and to bring expertise of professional financial planners to persons who may not normally have access to reliable and ethical financial planning information; and
Whereas, These organizations, in partnership with the City of Milwaukee, the Financial Planning Association of Southern Wisconsin and local certified financial planners, are sponsoring no-cost, one-on-one financial counseling on October 24, 2015; and
Whereas, The Financial Planning Association of Southern Wisconsin wishes to use the City’s logo for promoting this event; now, therefore, be it
