Minutes note: This property was re-built extensively in 1916 and is currently owned by the city, although the applicants are in the process of purchasing the property. Currently before the Commssion is a concrete block area off of the alley; the area is not of historical significance and is not of quality materials. It will be replaced with new open porches for apartments at the rear. A new spiral, exterior staircase will be of metal. Staff recommends approval of the demolition and the construction of the porches and staircase with a few conditions specified in the staff report relating to materials and the light fixture.
