Title:
Resolution relative to application, acceptance, and funding of a Click It or Ticket 2015 grant.

Analysis:
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept and fund a Click It or Ticket (Seat Belt Enforcement) grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Bureau of Transportation Safety in the amount of $30,000. The purpose of this grant is to encourage seat-belt enforcement in areas with low seatbelt usage.

Body:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for a Click It or Ticket (Seat Belt Enforcement) grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Bureau of Transportation Safety, and

Whereas, The operation of this grant from 6/24/15 to 09/30/15 would cost $30,000 of which (100%) would be provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that acceptance and funding of a Click It or Ticket (Seat Belt Enforcement) grant is authorized and the Police Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Section 304-81, Milwaukee Code Ordnances; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2015 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amount for the program titled: Click It or Ticket Enforcement 2015 Project Grant:
