Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2015 offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes positions in the following departments:

Department of Administration, Election Commission, Health Department, Library, Department of Neighborhood Services, Department of Public Works

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 140624 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Department of Administration, Budget and Management Division, Auxiliary Personnel”, add one position of “Policy Planning Coordinator (A)”, add one position of “Budget & Policy Manager - Senior (A)”, and add footnote “(A)” to read: “(A) Position authority to expire December 4, 2015.”

 

Under “Health Department, Family and Community Health Services Division, Women’s, Infant’s and Children’s Nutrition Program Grant (C)”, delete four positions of “Clinic Assistant (X)(C), add five positions of “Clinic Assistant (X)(C)(Q), and amend footnote “(Q)” to read as follows:

 

“To expire 09/30/16 unless the FIT Families (WIC) from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services, is extended.” 

 

Under “Department of Neighborhood Services”, move the “Environmental Health Section” from the “Residential Inspection Division” to the “Commercial Inspection Division” in its entirety; move one position of “Office Assistant IV” from the “Environmental Health Section” to the “Code Enforcement Section” of the “Residential Inspection Division”; and move one position of “Office Assistant III” from the “Code Enforcement Section” of the “Residential Inspection Division” to the “Environmental Health Section”.

 

Under “Construction Trades Division, Electrical Inspection Section”, delete one position of “Electrical Inspector (X)(C)” and add one position of “Electrical Inspector (X)”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Operations Division, Sanitation Section, Field Operations”, delete 23 positions of “City Laborer (A)” and footnote “(A)”; add eight  positions of “City Laborer (A)”, add seven positions of “Sanitation Yard Attendant “(B)”;  and add footnotes “(A)” and “(B)” to read:

 

“(A) These City Laborer positions in Sanitation Section, Field Operations to remain year-round positions held by the listed incumbents.  Positions to become seasonal when vacant.  Incumbents:  George Finch, Jr., Terry Barnes, Brian Grams, Richard Juno, Chris Shiltz, Michael Brahm and James Kendzierski.”

 

“(B)  These Sanitation Yard Attendant positions in Sanitation Section, Field Operations to remain year-round positions held by the listed incumbents.  Positions to become seasonal when vacant.  Incumbents:  Michael Carpenter, Joseph DeLeon, Barry Dye, Excell Golden, Jr., Sahagian Grimes, Gary L Hansen, Tarance Hodges, Johnny J. Jennings, Phillip McClendon, Jose Rodriguez, Daniel Sedlachek, Leon Voelz and Etheldia Weston-Smith.”

 

Part 2.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 140624 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 18, 2015 - August 16, 2015):

 

Under “Election Commission, General Office”, add one position of “Program Assistant I”.

 

Under “Library, Administration Services Decision Unit, Administration Bureau, Administration Services Division, delete one position of “Library Business Operations Manager” and add one position of “Assistant Director - Library Operations”.

 

Part 3.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 4.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 18, 2015 (August 16, 2015).

 

The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

 

Part 5.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
