Eric Pearson - Budget Office RECESS: 11:41 A.M. RECONVENE: 11:50 A.M. Mark Nicolini- Budget and Management Director Amy Hefter - Legislative Reference Bureau Ald. Stamper would like to amend Ald. Davis's amendment to take the $300,000 from RACCM as part of the $2 million proposed amendment and that the Dept. of Neighborhood Services shall not be cut as part of this amendment. This amendment will need to be drafted and taken up at the Council meeting. Prevailed. 4-1 (Ald. Wade no) Ald. Zielinski requested to be recorded as votingn "aye" on items 1-6. Leigh Kunde - 2779 N. 41st St. - supports the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee 7. Beth Rosenow - 5460 N. 64th St. - community organizer who thinks the northwest side lacks support from social organizations and misses federal money due to that face and the numerous youths in this area suffer as a result. 8. Ezzrd Charles White - 3518 N. 51st St. - owner of an electric company and founder of One Hope Made Strong that creates electrical job opportunities. 9. Geoffrey Grohowski - member of the Sherman Park Community Association.

Whereas, The Community and Economic Development Committee recommends approval of the Funding Allocation Plan of activities and funding recommendation for funding year 2016 as attached; and
 
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for community development entitlement funding for year 2016 estimated at $20,486,842 (CDBG funds $14,500,000; HOME funds, $4,200,000; ESG funds, $1,200,000; and HOPWA funds $586,842); now therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the 2016 Funding Allocation Plan is approved as attached; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the authorization for the funding listed in the resolution is subject to the availability of the Year 2016 community development funding and the release of funds for this purpose by HUD; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the Community Development Grants Administration is authorized to prepare and submit the Annual Action Plan for community development funding to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in accordance with the City's Strategic Plan.
