Analysis
Currently, a “temporary event” is defined as a fair, festival, fundraiser for a nonprofit organization, carnival, circus, public exhibition, anniversary sale or occasional sales promotion that is held at a fixed location not lasting more than 14 consecutive days during the license period. This ordinance broadens the definition of temporary event to also include a temporary event that is held for up to 26 nonconsecutive days during the license period.

This ordinance also increases the license period for a seasonal food dealer license from 180 days to one year. Upon publication, this ordinance shall apply to all seasonal food dealer licenses issued on and after January 1, 2015.
