Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2015 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes positions in the following departments:
Department of Administration, City Attorney, Department of Employee Relations, Health Department, Municipal Court, Department of Neighborhood Services, Police Department
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 140624 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Department of Administration, Office of the Director”, add designation “(X)” to the position of “Community Outreach Coordinator”.
Under “City Attorney, Legal Division”, add one position of “Assistant City Attorney V (A)(Y)” and delete one position of “Assistant City Attorney V (0.8 FTE)(Y)”.
Under “Health Department”, add footnote “(AA)” to read as follows:
“To expire 09/30/16 unless the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Ebola 2 Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services is extended.”
Under “Disease Control and Environmental Health Services Division”, add designation “(AA)” to the titles of “Disease Control & Environmental Health Services Director” and “Environmental & Disease Control Specialist”.
Under “Bioterrorism-CDC Public Health Preparedness Grant (A)”, add designation “(AA)” to the titles of “Infectious Disease Epidemiologist”, “Public Health Emergency Response Planning Coordinator”, “Emergency Preparedness Coordinator - Workforce Development”, and “Communicable Disease and Immunizations Supervisor”.
Under “Hepatitis B Immunization Grant (HH)”, add designation “(AA)” to the title of “Health Interpreter Aide”.
Under “Immunization Action Plan Grant (DD)”, add designation “(AA)” to the title of “Public Health Nurse”.
Under “Municipal Court, Cash Control and Accounting”, delete one position and title of “Management Accounting Specialist”.
Add new sections entitled “Court Services” and “Information Technology”.
Under “Court Services”, add two positions of “Court Services Assistant IV”; add one position of “Court Services Assistant IV (A)”; and add eight positions of “Court Services Assistant III”.
Under “Information Technology”, add two positions of “IT Support Specialist - Senior” and add one position of “Programmer Analyst”.
Under “Management and Administration”, delete two positions and the title of “Court Services Assistant IV”; delete one position and title of “Court Services Assistant IV (A)”; delete eight positions and title of “Court Services Assistant III”; delete two positions and the title of “IT Support Specialist - Senior.”; delete one position and title of “Programmer Analyst”; and add one position of “Management Accounting Specialist”.
Under “Police Department, Administration Services Decision Unit, Technical Communications Division”, delete one position of “Police Alarm Operator (G)” and add one position of “Police Dispatcher (G)”.
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 140624 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 16, 2015 - July 19, 2015):
Under “Department of Employee Relations - Operations Division, Certification and Salary Services”, delete one position of “Human Resources Analyst - Senior” and add one position of “Human Resources Representative”.
Under “Department of Neighborhood Services, Commercial Inspection Division, Commercial Inspection Section”, delete one position of “Commercial Code Enforcement Inspector (X)”.
Under “Residential Inspection Division, Code Enforcement Section”, add one position of “District Code Enforcement Supervisor (X)”.
Part 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 4. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 16, 2015 (July 19, 2015).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 5. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
