Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2015 offices and positions in the City Service.

This substitute ordinance changes positions in the following departments:
Common Council - City Clerk, Fire Department, Department of Public Works
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 140624 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under "Fire Department, EMS/Training/Education Bureau Decision Unit", delete one position and the title of "Athletic Trainer and Fitness Instructor".
Under "Community Relations Section", delete three positions and the title of "Firefighter"; add three positions of "Firefighter/Fire Paramedic (H)"; and add footnote "(H)" to read as follows:
"(H) These authorized positions may be filled under either the position title of Firefighter or Fire Paramedic.".
Under "Operations Bureau Decision Unit, Firefighter Service", delete the title of "Firefighter Service" and replace with the title "Firefighter/Paramedic Service"; delete 412 positions of "Firefighter"; add 465 positions of "Firefighter/Fire Paramedic (H)"; add two positions of "Fire Paramedic Field Lieutenant"; and amend footnote "(H)" to read as follows:
"(H) These authorized positions may be filled under either the position title of Firefighter or Fire Paramedic.".
Under "Paramedic Service", delete 53 positions and title of "Firefighter/Paramedic (H)"; delete two positions and the title of "Paramedic Field Lieutenant/Fire Paramedic Field Lieutenant (I); and delete the title of "Paramedic Service".
Part 2. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 140624 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 11, 2015 - May 10, 2015):
Under "Department of Public Works - Water Works, Business Organization, Commercial Services", add one position of "Water Services Billing Supervisor" and two positions of "Water Billing Specialist".
Part 3. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 140624 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 13, 2015 - June 7, 2015):
Under "Common Council - City Clerk, Public Information Division, Public Relations Section", delete one position of "Graphic Designer II" and add one position of "Graphic Designer - Lead".
Under "Department of Public Works - Infrastructure Services Division, Administration and Central Services Decision Unit, Central Drafting and Records", delete one position of "Engineering Drafting Technician V" and add one position of "Engineering Technician VI".
Under "Department of Public Works - Water Works", Business Organization, Commercial Services", delete one position of "Water Revenue Collections Supervisor" and add one position of "Water Revenue Collections Manager".
Part 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 5. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 11, 2015 (May 10, 2015).
Part 6. The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 13, 2015 (June 7, 2015).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 7. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
