Title
Substitute resolution approving an extension of the agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Froedtert Health, Inc., for services related to the City’s wellness program.
Analysis
This resolution extends an agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Froedtert Health, Inc., for services related to the City’s wellness program through July 31, 2017. The Department of Employee Relations is directed to execute this extension on behalf of the City. The resolution also directs that the outcomes-based component of the City’s wellness program be continued.
Body
Whereas, Common Council File Number 100204, adopted July 27, 2010, approved a one-year contract with an option of 2 additional years with Froedtert Health, Inc., to provide services to the City to implement its wellness program; and
Whereas, In 2014 the City Attorney’s Office negotiated a Restated Agreement with a one-year term and the option to extend for 2 one-year periods; and
Whereas, The Department of Employee Relations recommends a 2-year extension through July 31, 2017 based on the results and outcomes of the Workforce Health activity and the engagement of City employees in the services offered; and
Whereas, The Wellness Your Choice Program has helped employees to be more aware of their health conditions and the costs of health care; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Restated Agreement between the City and Froedtert Health, Inc., regarding the provision of services by Froedtert Health, Inc., to the City for the City’s wellness program be extended through July 31, 2017 in substantially the same form as is attached to this file; and, be it
