Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions, determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct and levy special assessments for the following improvements:
1st Aldermanic District
Alley between W. Capitol Dr., W. Hope Ave., N. 24th Pl., and N. 25th St. (ST212140136) File Number 130686: Concrete alley pavement reconstruction, replace some abutting walk or driveway approaches, grading, and storm drainage facilities where necessary. (Assessable Alley Paving Fund -- $34,700; Nonassessable Alley Paving Fund -- $100,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $152,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2015 construction season.
7th Aldermanic District
Alley between W. Auer Ave., W. Burleigh St., W. Fond du Lac Ave., N. 37th St., and N. 38th St. (ST212140123) File Number 120582: Concrete alley pavement reconstruction, replace some abutting walk or driveway approaches, grading, and storm drainage facilities where necessary. (Assessable Alley Paving Fund -- $21,600; Nonassessable Alley Paving Fund -- $70,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $102,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2015 construction season.

This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2015 construction season.

Locust St., N. 32nd St., and N. 33rd St. (ST212050124) File Number 131585: Concrete alley pavement reconstruction, replace some abutting walk or driveway approaches, grading, and storm drainage facilities where necessary. (Assessable Alley Paving Fund -- $36,300; Nonassessable Alley Paving Fund -- $50,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $96,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2015 construction season.

Whereas, Notices have been sent to all interested persons and public hearings held; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works' Report, as amended at said Public Hearing, is approved and the properties therein identified are benefited; and, be it
Further Resolved, That said Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work in accordance with said report pursuant to Section 66.0703 and any other pertinent sections of the Wisconsin Statutes and in the manner directed by Section 115-42 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the proper departments take such action as is required of them to assess the abutting or adjacent properties and collect such assessment in the manner directed by Section 115-42 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the projects do not involve any parcels of agricultural land which are eligible for deferred special assessments under the provisions of Section 14.30 of the Milwaukee City Charter; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That projects: Alley W. Capitol Dr. (ST212140136), Alley W. Auer Ave. (ST212140123), Alley W. Arthur Ave., (ST212150106), Alley W. Becher St (ST212140110), Alley W. Mineral St. (ST212070111), Alley W. Holt Ave. (ST212150114), and Alley W. Hadley St. (ST212050124) will be billed after January 1, 2017, but not before 12 months after the project contract has been completed; and, be it
Further Resolved, That projects: S. 32nd St. (ST211150180) and Alley W. Lakefield Dr. (ST212150102) will be billed after January 1, 2018, but not before 12 months after the project contract has been completed.
