Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee previously adopted File Number 131728, which authorized the City Engineer to apply for five Federal Transportation Alternatives Program grants for the 2014-2018 application cycle, with an 80 percent grantor share and a 20 percent local share; and

Whereas, Preliminary approval has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, along with a Project Agreement to be executed by the City of Milwaukee, for the design of a Coordinated Trail/Bicycle Facility Signage Plan project under the 2015 federal Transportation Alternatives Program; and

Whereas, The approved project will develop a Coordinated Trail/Bicycle Facility Signage Plan in partnership with Milwaukee County Parks, to include traffic control, safety, facility identification, wayfinding, directional and guide signage recommendations, detailed signage typologies, and recommended signage packages and implementation strategies, and
