Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2008 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance makes rates of pay changes to the rates of pay to the following:
Health Department, Department of Public Works, Operations Division and District Council 48 Contract Administrator
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 2 of ordinance File Number 070604 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Salary Grade 006, add the title “MAIG Regional Coordinator.”
Part 2. Section 5 of ordinance File Number 070604 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective September 15, 2008):
Under Pay Range 406 delete the second sentence to footnote 1/ in its entirety and replace the second sentence with the following sentence “Effective September 15, 2008 through November 15, 2008 Paula Dorsey has been replaced by Kenneth Wischer as District Council 48 Contract Administrator and will not be paid at rates consistent with Pay Range 936.”
Part 3. Section 5 of ordinance File Number 070604 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 24, 2008 - November 16, 2008):
Under Pay Range 406 delete the second sentence of footnote 1/ in its entirety.
Part 4. Section 8 of ordinance File Number 070604 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Pay Range 530, add the title “Recycling Assistant.”
Part 5. Section 16a of ordinance File Number 070604 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective September 15, 2008):
Under Pay Range 750 delete current footnote 6/ in its entirety and replace with the following footnote 6/ “Effective September 15, 2008 through November 14, 2008, one position held by Kenneth Wischer, in the Operations Division of the Department of Public Works, to be paid at rates consistent with Pay Range 936 while performing contract administrator duties.”
Part 6. Section 16a of ordinance File Number 070604 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 24, 2008 - November 16, 2008):
Under Pay Range 750 delete the footnote designation “6/” after the title Operations Driver/Worker and delete footnote 6/ in its entirety.
Part 7. Section 23 of ordinance File Number 070604 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective September 15, 2008):
Under Pay Range 936, add the footnote designation “1/” after the title District Council 48 Contract Administrator and add footnote 1/ to read as follows: 1/ “Effective September 15, 2008 through November 14, 2008, Kenneth Wischer shall be paid at $1903.85 biweekly while performing contract administrator duties of District Council 48 Contract Administrator as a replacement for Paula Dorsey.”
Part 8. Section 23 of ordinance File Number 070604 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 24, 2008 - November 16, 2008):
Under Pay Range 936 delete the footnote designation “1/” after the title District Council 48 Contract Administrator and delete footnote 1/ in its entirety.
Part 9. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 10. The provisions Parts 2, 5 and 7 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after September 15, 2008.
The provisions of Parts 3, 6 and 8 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 24, 2008 (November 16, 2008).
The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.
Part 11. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
