This resolution amends Common Council File #121657 relative to accept and fund the Lifecourse Initiative for Healthy Families (LIHF) Grant from the Wisconsin Partnership Program - University of Wisconsin-School of Medicine and Public Health in the amount of $463,000, with a city share of $63,000 (13.6%) and a grantor share of $400,000 (86.4%). The purpose of the Lifecourse Initiative for Healthy Families Grant is to positively impact infant mortality, improve birth outcomes, and strengthen African American families and communities by strengthening father involvement in their child(ren's) and partner's lives by intensive, evidence-based, and participant-driven fatherhood-focused home visitation services to expectant and parenting fathers in an 11 zip code targeted area in Milwaukee.

Whereas, Common Council Resolution #121657 authorized the Health Department to accept and fund the Lifecourse Initiative for Healthy Families (LIHF) - Direct Assistance for Dads (DAD) Grant from the Wisconsin Partnership Program - University of Wisconsin-School of Medicine and Public Health for the purpose of positively impact infant mortality, improving birth outcomes, and strengthening African American families and communities by strengthening father involvement in their child(ren's) and partner's lives. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $400,000 (86.4%) and a city share of $63,000 (13.6%); and
Whereas, The total expenditures of this program have not changed, however the project budget has been amended; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to create the necessary Grant and Aid Project/Grant and Project/Grant level changes; budget against these Project/Grant values the amount required under the grant agreement; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Common Council directs that the 2014 Positions Ordinance C.C. File Number 130420, should be amended as follows:
