Resolution authorizing the Chief Information Officer to execute a utility agreement with the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation for work on City of Milwaukee Communications facilities in conjunction with the IH 43 North-South Freeway - Howard Ave to Valley Bridge contract work.
Analysis
This resolution approves the entitled Agreement for Payment for Relocation or Replacement of Municipal Utility Facilities Located on Public Held Land Required by Freeway Construction for City of Milwaukee - Communications facilities, and authorizes the Chief Information Officer to execute the agreement on behalf of the City of Milwaukee.
This agreement relates to utility work on City of Milwaukee - Communications facilities necessitated by the IH 43 North-South Freeway - Howard Ave to Valley Bridge contract being undertaken by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation in 2014-2015. This agreement provides generally for the City to be reimbursed from the State 90 percent of the City costs for all work on City of Milwaukee - Communications facilities necessitated by the freeway rehabilitation project in accord with Wisconsin State Statute 84.295(4m).
This resolution also authorizes the Chief Information Officer to prepare and review plans and estimates for the IH 43 utility work as necessary to accomplish the project. This resolution also authorizes the Comptroller to establish accounts as necessary for the Department of Administration - Information Technology and Management division to track the work and to submit invoices to the State of Wisconsin for work undertaken on this project as approved by the Chief Information Officer, for a total amount of $178,000.00 with a City share of $17,800.00.
